Sednterp uses conventions for the three letter file ending for the various files important to the program.
*.ini Initialization file. Sednterp saves initialization data in Sednterp.ini found in the windows subdirectory. This initialization is necessary for Sednterp to run properly: most especially for initializing default directories
*.mdb Microsoft Access database file. The Phyconst.mdb database contains the interpolating database and is essential for Sednterp operation. Other
*.mdb databases contain experimental, sample, buffer, and results data in database files with multiple tables. These files can be created using Sednterp
*.seq Sequence file. These files contain a string of amino acid codes that describe the primary structure of a protein. The codes may be one letter or three letter codes. Sednterp does not automatically determine whether one or three letter codes are being used; the user must first enter that choice on the Sample Composition form for proper file reading.
*.smp Sample composition files. These files contain only the total number of each amino acid or conjugate in a sample.
*.buf Buffer composition file. These files contain the name and concentration of buffer components.
